Many food parks and restaurants are now booming everywhere and one of the newest place is just located in Marikina, the Lilac St. Actually, it’s my 2nd time to visit here. The first time I’d been here was last 2015. After visiting a book museum in Marikina Heights, the Book Museum cum Ethnology Center, we went to Lilac and dine at Forget Me Not Cafe and Cookie Mug Snack Lounge.
And now, after visiting Pinto Art Museum at Antipolo, we decided to have our dinner at this new found hipster place in Lilac, the Hippie Tipi. I read many posts about this place before so I grabbed the opportunity to go here last Sunday, December 4.
The western-inspired diner was owned by three young students from UST that was started at their school fair. It was only a small business before but became famous because of their grilled pizza and freshly-made lasagna.
What makes this place unique is because of their teepee that let you eat inside, filled with pillows, the wooden tables, the lights, and carpet. Almost everything! Every corner is also instagrammable so you should’t miss it! This is perfect for millenials who’s looking for some chill, trendy, hipster, and camping vibe spot.
With its monochromatic theme, you’ll surely love to stay for long and be relax for a while with your friends or with your loved ones. You can also borrow a guitar to make it more perfect, just kindly ask the crew. 😉
For the food, they offer pizza, pasta, and their mocktails. Don’t worry, it is an alcohol-free drink. Check out their menu here:
For the pizza, we had their best seller. The crust was very thin and crispy. It has also delicious amounts of ingredients. It is very affordable but will not let you down because of its taste. Super yummy!
For the pasta, we had carbonara and lasagna. The lasagna is also one of their best seller. And it didn’t failed me. It was yummy!! It was cheesy and very creamy. This should be on your list if you go here. For the carbonara, the sauce was creamy and yummy. It is well-cooked. For their garlic bread, it was crispy and perfect for the pasta and lasagna.
We also had fries for our sides. The fries were so crispy that made it hard to chew. The mozarella was not enough for the fries. In fact, the last bites of our fries was just covered with salts that made our fries salty.
For the drinks, we had two of their best sellers. The midnight kick is made of lychees, peaches, and white soda while the coco mango is made of fresh mango with coconut milk. These two was a thirst quencher!! It’s also a perfect partner for your pizza and pasta especially a perfect drink for summer. 😋
