Kangaroo Jack’s affordable steaks and ribs

It was Tuesday night when Ian and I decided to meet at SM North to buy a gift for my niece’s 7th birthday. After buying gift, he was requesting for a steak. At first, I was really hesitant because it was already petsa de peligro for the both of us. LOL. But because he was not feeling well that day and I love him (but I love steaks more, jk), we decided to look for restaurants that offering affordable but delicious steaks. And poof! We found Kangaroo Jack.

This is located in 2nd floor at Main building, near Sky Garden. It offers different dishes: steaks, desserts, tea and frappe, sandwiches, pasta and pizza, seafood, salads, and many more. One of their best seller and recommended dishes is Baby Back Ribs, which we exactly want.

Ian’s routine while waiting for his food: not talking to me. 😪  Just kidding 😅

For our appetizer, we had these yummy and very appetizing calamari. Upon ordering, I was hoping for a spicy vinegar for the dip but we got this mayo dip instead. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted good and perfect for the calamari too. In fact, it was gone in just a few minutes. Plus we got fries too! I was only expecting for calamari but God loves me so much so He gave me what I deserved. My two fave appetizers in one plate. 😍  The calamares was so delicious. It was chewy and you can really tasted that the squid is fresh. About the dip that gone in just a snap, we requested to have a vinegar dip for the calamares. The crew granted our request although it was just really vinegar, nothing else. 😝 It was still yummy though.

Since I was not in the mood for rice that night, I ordered their four cheese pizza. I am torn between the four cheese and their KJ special pizza which has bacon (my bae), but because I am also a cheese lover, I chose the four cheese instead. At first, Ian thought it was just a scrambled egg (because of its appearance, I guess?) but the moment I took my first bite, it was heaven. It may sound OA but it is really good and super delicious. The crust was crispy but the cheese was really chewy and so yummy. Of course, don’t ever forget the hot sauce to add some spice in your life, oops I mean pizza. 🔥

For Ian, he ordered the baby back ribs, one of their best seller here. For the sauce, he chose the spicy but it doesn’t tasted spicy at all. The ribs was so tender and juicy. The meat was soft and chewy. The sauce was good but I was craving for more spicy flavor but it’s still tasted good. The java rice was cooked well. The sides were quite good. I didn’t really tasted it well because I only took 3-4 bites, I think.

And for our dessert, we had blueberry cheesecake since it has been ages since the last time we had it. The plating was good. The cheesecake was yummy. The blueberry tasted fresh. Perfect to end your dinner with this, especially when you had a good steak and pizza. 👌🏼

All in all, it was just perfect. We had a good meal for dinner. We saved a little because of its affordable price. Plus I have this man beside me. What can I ask for more?  😍

My date featuring the photobombers. Lol.

They are also offering breakfast/lunch buffet starting from 1 AM to 3 PM every Sunday for only P199. Great promo, right?! And also alcoholic drinks perfect for your weekend night out with friends or family. So don’t forget to dropped by here, okay? 😉

So for my ratings:

Food – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Service – ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Price – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stay hungry! Love lots! 💋
